Q1

If I am feeling unwell should I try and come to class?

A

If you have a cold or not feeling well then stay at home rest and start back when you feel a bit better.

Q2

If I am running late for class should I try and get in even if I think I will be late.

A

If you are running late please don’t try and make the class as we operate a strike policy of once the PSI class has started there is no admittance as a late start is unsafe for you and the others within the class.

Q3

How many times a week should I be practising the exercises?

A

You should try to do some home practice at least 2 to 3 times a week to complement the 1 hours exercise class that you already attend with us for the program to be really effective.

Q4

If my arthritis is very painful should I be doing exercise?

A

If you have Osteoarthritis keeping the joints mobile and stopping them stiffening up is really important, but avoid weight bearing exercises until the episode has passed. If you have Rheumatoid arthritis then again you should rest and stay away from weight bearing exercise until the inflammation and pain has gone.

Q5

Will I have to make my own way there or will transport be provided?

A

We do not provide transport so you will have to make your own way there. But remember if you are house bound or find it very difficult to leave your home we do provide home based exercise for those eligible.

Q6

Do I have to come every week?

A

You don’t have to come every week although it is better if you can come as often as possible however we understand that you will have other appointments to attend such as hospital and doctors so just let us know if you are unable to attend a session.
