Annual get-together

Each year in June, Help the Aged co-ordinate a national Falls Awareness day. Here in Hackney, we use the day to invite older people to get together, try out new things, listen, learn, share experiences and enjoy some food and drink. It is a chance for you to:

· share any anxieties with sympathetic professionals
· try out new types of exercise
· learn more about good nutrition
· swap experiences, good and bad
· check out basic aspects of your health
· discover local services that might be of help to you

Get up, Stand up – information guide

We have a handy-sized booklet crammed with practical tips to help you stay steady and reduce your risk of falling. It includes lots of useful phone numbers and website addresses, too. A useful little reference guide to keep on your telephone table, bedside table or on top of the fridge.

Call us on 020 7254 3910 to order a free copy.

Other information guides
